How is that one cat can cause so much more destruction than I have ever even seen a small child cause? Will my cat outgrow it?

The reason is fairly simple: it’s the rate of physical growth versus brain growth. A cat that’s a year old is just about as smart as it will ever get but is fully physically capable.

In human terms it would be like having a full-strength adult body with the curiosity of a two-year-old. Believe me, such a person could do a lot of damage as well.

Will the cat ever grow out of it? Sure. Eventually it will get old, fat and lazy. Then it will slow down.
