What do you think of having your own website? Is it everything you dreamed it would be?

Very nice, indeed.  A forum in which to pontificate (which is illegal in certain States; making it even more satisfying).

I just hope people find it, because I have a LOT of answers saved up!

Awesome, I’m glad you like it. Unlike the old Forum thread that this site is based on, people can comment on individual answers, like so.

That’s cool. I do think that the main page needs to make it more obvious how to get to the list of existing questions and answers (which I believe is done by clicking on the Just Ask Oldguy title, right?)

  3. Oldguy Admin Team says:

Most sites let you click on the title to get to the homepage, which for this site lists the most recent questions. A more in-depth Archives page would be an option, but I’m not sure what it should look like since there isn’t an easy way to browse questions without just writing them all out. Maybe it could list every question ever, but only the first line and the asker?

I think this looks great! I look forward to reading many more questions and answers. How will people know it’s here?

Two things: Top AOGQs (asked old-guy questions), full browse, and search. That’s three, but full browse (as you describe) makes good sense.

(With super-caching a single page with all the questions would perform fine).

Well, zeek… to be ongoing I need you to ASK A QUESTION!
