Back to the theoretical nerd space questions….

If you let water into the vacuum of space, would it boil because of the low pressure, or freeze because of the….. freezing tempuatures (out of sight of any stars, of course.) In 2010 (the book), they describe it as boiling and then freezing. Is this the best guess as to what would happen?

I realize that this may be somewhat of a sidetrack from your daily dallyings, but i feel that you may be the only person who would know the answer to my question:

Why do hotdogs come in packages of eight, yet buns come in packages of twelve?

Is it some sort of conspiracy of the hotdog industry to make us continually buy packages of hotdogs and buns until we reach the least common multiple of 12 and 8? (which is 24 btb)

Dear Oldguy. I recently broke up with my girlfriend. I woudl like to know if you think that my reasoning is “sufficient” and if this is a common thing. I broke up with her because, I knew that one day I would have to break up with her because first of all because I know I would not be able to live my life only having dated one or two people, and second because I don’t think i can know that i am with the person i should be with, without dating a few people first. There was nothign wrong with us, I just couldn’t get it off my mind that one day, I would have to end it. are everyones first relationships doomed to this cause or just mine?
